MEG conducted a feasibility plan that included reviewing suitable sports venue and city infrastructure assessments, a comprehensive marketing plan, leverage and legacy plan workforce plan, budget, risk profile and an overall assessment of potential economic and legacy benefits.
Event Outcome:
The Feasibility Plan helped confirm national and host city interest to proceed with a bid. While the host city client was unsuccessful in winning the hosting rights for this event, as a legacy from MEG’s work, the city formed its own not-for-profit organisation representing the rainbow community. This organisation went on to create their own biannual LGBTQIA+ multi-sport event beginning in 2024.
